February 09 Microsoft Gets Gartner's Business Intelligence Top RankingMicrosoft Gets Gartner's Business Intelligence Top Ranking
The company makes a surprise leap ahead of Business Objects and Cognos in its ability to execute on BI products and pricing.
Business Objects and Cognos have long been considered the leaders in business intelligence platforms. But in a surprising new report, Gartner
ranks Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) ahead of those companies in its ability to execute.
February 08 New Microsoft BI Blog on MSDNWelcome to what we hope will become the definitive blog on business intelligence, THE BI Blog. Not too huge of a goal or vision, huh? There are already some great blogs out there on all different aspects
of business intelligence and performance management--from those dedicated to showing how to build applications, to those that take a more business oriented approach to the discipline of BI and EPM. Our expectation is that we'll have a little bit of both sides
of the fence represented in this blog as we kick-it off and establish what's fast becoming the biggest community in the industry around Microsoft BI solutions.
Microsoft is doing some great things in business intelligence, and whether it's from the customer, partner, developer, implementer, or marketing side of things, we'll be on top of it here to ensure you're up
to speed on this fast growing business.
Off we go!
