19 de dezembro Installing Business Scorecard Manager with SQL Server 2005Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005 runs with either SQL 2000 or 2005. The benefits of upgrading to SQL Server 2005 are countless: http://www.microsoft.com/sql/bigdata/default.mspx?CMP=KNC-SQLQ2-PS The majority of enhancements in SQL Server 2005 are accessible to Business Scorecard Manager through a consistent set of interface standards common to both SQL Server 2000 and 2005. For example, Business Scorecard Manager can generate its scorecards in Microsoft's Report Definition Language (RDL) used by SQL Server Reporting Services. A new feature in SQL Server 2005 is the ability to embed RDL reports in custom applications, both through winforms and webforms. Put the two together an now you can consume scorecards in your custom apps thanks to the new platform. There are additional enhancements to the BI platform that introduce new APIs and additional light-up features are being made available in a modular fashion through projects like KPIUtil.exe (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=556E01A4-49A2-4A61-BEC5-0260B42DCF1B&displaylang=en) which takes advantage of KPI definitions that were created in the Analysis Services cube while it was being designed. Out-of-the-box, the Business Scorecard Manager documentation walks you through installation using a SQL Server 2000 example and steps for SQL Server 2005 are available in the readme (note that the standards-based approach enabled Business Scorecard Manager to be released prior to SQL Server 2005 while being tested on the CTP version noted in the documentation): http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/d/4/fd4261fc-b0a7-4f14-a2b8-f8ef732eca9c/ReadMe.htm The best source of information on the product install is the official documentation: Readme (includes links to downloads): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info.aspx?na=46&p=3&SrcDisplayLang=en&SrcCategoryId=&SrcFamilyId=D2F8C636-602D-4744-BA7D-D3821F8920D5&u=http%3a%2f%2fdownload.microsoft.com%2fdownload%2ff%2fd%2f4%2ffd4261fc-b0a7-4f14-a2b8-f8ef732eca9c%2fReadMe.htm&oRef=http%3a%2f%2foffice.microsoft.com%2fen-us%2fFX012225041033.aspx Here's an FAQ for some common questions you might encounter depending on your configuration: http://spaces.msn.com/members/iantien/Blog/cns!1p0VgVUcxDR_JdidQow4FyzA!222.entry Here's a modified excerpt from the ReadMe with some additional links: Business Scorecard Manager Server Prerequisites You must install the following prerequisite software in this order before installing the Business Scorecard Manager Server Web services: 1.
